Training & Lecturing Experience
Perminder started her career in Dentistry in 2005. Like most, Perminder began her career as a training dental nurse. With a great deal of dedication, drive and ambition Perminder became a fully qualified dental nurse progressing to Head Nurse and then Practice Manager. Perminder still nurses and has worked with over 50 dentists.
Perminder has been teaching for 4 years and teaches the NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing, Nursing level 3 Diploma Cache and City and Guilds. NEBDN dental nursing diploma continues to be the most reognised, and students tend to have a lot more knowledge compared to Cache and City and Guilds students.
Perminder says ‘as soon as I started my career in dentistry I had already set my goals and aims, which was to teach, assess and examine. I drafted my personal development plan and worked very hard to achieve it. It has not been easy, but nothing in life is. I had the passion, drive and hunger. I believe nothing is impossible!’
In 2013 Perminder passed the PTLLS, teaching Qualifications and taught dentistry to trainee dental nurses. In her second year of teaching at a large training centre with over 20 tutors, Perminder won the award for Tutor of the Year.
