This course will give you the training and an internationally recognised qualification that allows you to work as a Dental Nurse in a variety of settings including private practices, hospitals and community dental clinics.
Dental nurses play a vital role in oral healthcare, offering close support to the dental surgeon in all aspects of patients care. They provide assistance to both the patient and the dentist during clinical procedures and maintain good practice and high quality service in the dental environment. In addition, their duties may include maintaining materials and equipment and also practice management.
Qualifications
The SmileWisdom NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (RQF) course, leads to the National Examining Board’s NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (RQF) (NEBDN) and replaces the ‘NEBDN equivalent to Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing’. Once you have successfully completed our course and passed the exams you become a fully qualified Dental Nurse.
The Diploma in Dental Nursing is recognised by the GDC as meeting their Standards for Education and appropriately preparing Learners for professional practice. This means that those who achieve NEBDN’s Diploma can apply to join the GDC register as a Dental Nurse.
Work
Dental Nurses are required by law to be registered with the GDC in order to work in England and Wales. Once you have enrolled onto our NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (RQF) course, you can carry out paid work in a dental practice as a trainee dental nurse. Once you have completed the course and passed the exams you will become a qualified dental nurse and register yourself with the GDC; you will receive your unique GDC registration number – these numbers are awarded to trained dental professionals in England and Wales.
